Reopened predictions

If you see a notice that your league’s predictions are reopened, it’s because your league admin activated a special one-time option: reopening “Full Tournament” predictions for 24 hours.

Why does this happen?

When some participants don’t manage to submit their “Full Tournament” predictions before the deadline, the league admin can reopen that prediction window so everyone gets another chance.

What can I do during this window?

• You can submit or edit “Full Tournament” predictions for any match that hasn’t started yet.
• Matches that have already started or finished stay locked — they can’t be changed, same as always.
• Other prediction rounds (if your league has them) aren’t affected.
• This applies equally to every participant, including the admin.

Do I need to do anything when it ends?

No. The 24-hour window closes automatically — you don’t need to do anything and you won’t get another notice. Once that time passes, predictions go back to being locked as before.

Once per league

This option can only be used once per league. If your admin has already used it, they won’t be able to activate it again.

Knockout round reopens

In “One-Time++” and “One-Time 2” leagues, your admin can also reopen individual knockout prediction rounds (Round of 32, Round of 16, etc.) for 24 hours. Each round can only be reopened once. The same rules apply: you can only edit matches that haven’t started yet. Each match also locks 1 hour before kickoff — even if the 24-hour window is still active.

What if some matches in that round were already played?

If a match was played before the reopen window opened, it stays permanently locked — you cannot predict it. However, later-round slots that depend on that match will still show a placeholder like “W73 vs Morocco” (meaning “whoever wins match #73 faces Morocco”).

You’ll score 0 points on those dependent matches

If you couldn’t predict a feeder match (because it was already locked), the scoring system has no bracket to compare for the next-round slot. It treats this as a mismatch and awards zero points — regardless of the actual score or outcome.

Example: The Round of 32 opens for reopen. Match #73 (South Africa vs Canada) had already been played, so it’s locked. You predict matches #74–88 (the remaining 15 R32 games) but cannot predict #73. In the Round of 16, match #90 shows “W73 vs Morocco” — you predict Morocco to win 2–1. Even if Morocco does win 2–1, you score 0 points for match #90, because the system can’t verify which team your bracket placed in that slot.

This is the expected behavior — it keeps scoring fair across all participants.
